Lavandula intermedia ‘Gros Bleu’ is a hybrid French Lavender that is considered to be the very best of all the French hybrids. More compact than ‘Grosso’ but with equally darkly colored flowers, the scent is sweeter and with less camphor. Twice blooming.

Lavandula intermedia ‘Gros Bleu’ is a compact growing French hybrid Lavender for smaller gardens. The plant blooms in mid-summer with gracefully thin, tapered flower heads with dark indigo-blue calyxes and lavender flowers. The flowers have a very sweet, long lasting fragrance. When grown in full sun, the plant has distinctive silver-gray foliage that turns a distinctive Lavender color in winter. It’s flower spikes are re-blooming, so don’t deadhead ‘Gros Bleu’ until the first frosts of fall
